When Renal Solutions wanted to introduce medical personnel to their new Allient system, a sorbent-hemodialysis machine, they turned to Etcetera Edutainment to develop an interactive 3D simulation of their product.
Traditionally, trainees for such medical devices are equipped only with a manual or training workbook, and their access to the actual piece of equipment is limited, if they have access at all. Etcetera's medical device viewer provides trainees with an interactive three-dimensional re-creation of the device that is always accessible. Users can get up close to the device, view it from any angle, and interact with the components to access additional information quickly.
When customized to include advanced training features, the viewer allows for just-in-time training, tutoring specific training lessons and tracking the progress of individual trainees.
